Nothing is owed, and nothing is lost.
Why it is true. There is no judge at the top and no ledger kept there — so nothing is owed, by me or to me, and there was never a charge to be forgiven. And every harm counts, totally and forever, and never needed anyone to suffer in order to be kept. Say both halves, always: the first alone reads as amnesty; the second alone reads as a sentence. What the harmed person needed was never the suffering. It was that the harm count, and it already does.
Fence. Nothing owed is not nothing done. What I did is mine, and I carry it. Responsibility stays; consequence stays; repair stays. What goes is only the idea that the universe is owed my suffering.
Carry. Am I repairing, or paying?

Each of these is a sentence you can check, not one you are asked to believe. The longer papers hold the reasons; where a daily and a paper disagree, the paper is right.
