I am addressed.

Why it is true. Everything that reaches me reaches me from within the world: every person, every event, every word. All of it is in God. So I am addressed constantly, by parts — and I have never once been un-addressed. When I speak back — thanks, help, or just a yell into the dark — it is a mind turning toward what it is of, and it counts whether or not anything answers.

Fence. No one at the top is talking to me. If by addressed you mean a voice from above the world, that is at most a god. The address comes through what is beside me, and through the world’s no, and it is kept.

Carry. Say thank you, or help, or just yell, to the dark. It counts.

Each of these is a sentence you can check, not one you are asked to believe. The longer papers hold the reasons; where a daily and a paper disagree, the paper is right.
